Hello Everyone!
I know its been awhile since I've had a post or update but I'm super excited today to be linking up with Julie and joining her Breastfeeding Diaries. It feels like forever ago when I asked her to be a guest blogger and January 15th was her next available date then I swear I blinked and the day was here. So without further adieu head on over to hear about my breastfeeding journey!
A glimpse of my guest post...
"Meet my daughter Miss Noelle who came into this world 14 months ago. She is full of energy, abundant joy and has quite the attitude already. After struggling for 18 months of infertility we finally found out that we were expecting. I knew right from that moment that I looked forward to my own breastfeeding journey..."

I just read your post! While I couldn't resonate with all the milk your stored up (holy jealousy!!!!), I can relate to my baby not taking a bottle. She finally, just now (at 10 months) started taking one from anyone but me (and I could only give it to her at night). How did you start the weaning process? I like what you said about it being easier in the long run to do it earlier (around a year) than later. thanks!
ReplyDeleteHey Jessica! The weaning process went very smoothly for us. I was still nursing her every feeding while I was home with her, so I started by dropping the nap time feeds and nursing her just in morning and night. I let this go for about a week (Ish) then I dropped the morning feeding and did the night time feeding for another week. Finally one saturday night I decided it would be my last nursing session and we were done. While it made me sad after a few days and realizing I still rocked her while she drank her sippy cup I was ok with the transition! If I could change one thing it would be probably to go every other day at night just to lessen the engorgement. The slower you wean the more comfortable I think you will be! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI completely can relate to the bottle refusal! My son was 7 months before he would even attempt one! I also weaned right around a year, just to make it easier on myself! The process, though, took three months before we were done but I wouldn't have it any other way.
ReplyDeleteI love finding mommy blogs! I am in the process of weaning my 14 month old and it's a lot harder than I thought it would be. Loved reading your breastfeeding journey. Xo
